I stopped reading this once the women started describing their private times with their husbands. I'm not interested in reading that kind of stuff. Yes, I'm a prude. A fictional twist to the disastrous and shameful "Mountain Meadows Massacre" that occurred in early Mormon history, and the children who were rescued and placed with LDS families. I appreciated the fair balance between the faith of Thomas's adopted (and polygamous) family and that of his grandmother in Arkansas who led a search for the child. A good story with interesting twists that kept me reading.
